CDD Vault Update: Improved Structure Editor

The ChemAxon Marvin Javascript-based structure editor we introduced earlier this year is great, but it was missing a few key features, such as support for direct copy and paste of structures. We are happy to report that this update should address the most common requests.

    copy-paste

Copying the molecule out of the canvas in this way results in a Molfile structure representation. Pasting a structure into the canvas can be done in any supported format. You can see the full list of formats when you open the “import” interface.

    Updated Import/Export functionality

This allows you to browse for an import file on your computer.

    import-export

The editor will automatically recognize the file format. Note that you can now import ChemDraw CDX files.

We would like to make the Javascript-based editor the preferred choice for everyone, so please let us know if it does not support your workflow.
