CDD Vault Update (June #2 2026): Inventory Location Tree, Inventory user role updates, Show/hide Depleted Samples, Plot Data Calculation Descriptions

Inventory Location Tree view:

This update brings a new location tree view to the Inventory tab. Now all users can easily browse their inventory by location. Hover over a filled box position to view the assigned sample. Filter the location tree view by a minimum number of empty positions or a maximum number of filled positions. Hover over a location and click the filter button to quickly see all samples assigned to a particular location or box. 

Inventory user role updates: 

This update affects the Read-add Biology and Full Access Biology Users. Users with these roles are now able to create new inventory samples and add inventory credit/debit events. 

Read-add Biology can:

• create samples
• add events to all samples they have access to
• deplete all samples they have access to
• delete samples and events that they have created

Full Access Biology can:

• create samples
• add events to all samples they have access to
• deplete all samples they have access to
• delete samples and events created by other users

Show/hide depleted samples:

On the molecule overview page, depleted samples are now hidden by default. Simply check the “show depleted samples” box to see the full list of samples.

Plot data calculation descriptions:

Readout definition forms have a ‘Description’ box to capture added details about a certain definition. Now, add descriptions to calculated values in a ‘Plot’ readout definition.
