Open, Collaborative, & Private Data

Welcome to the Party!

CDD has supported the complementary virtues of public with private sensitive drug discovery data since the Oct 26th, 2007 publication of "1721 FDA approved drugs with designated indications, sponsor name, and chemical structures" with Dr. Christopher Lipinski.

To emphasize the security and privacy, even on a subconscious level, the platform was named and registered as the CDD Vault.

It has been doubly important to re-emphasize the security combined with the sophistication of supporting natural workflows for collaborations and hosting public data.   >99 Public data sets with attribution in reverse chronological order in CDD Public can be freely browsed here:

CDD Public is used as a highly technical free example.  It provides a proxy for the full value of private data in the secure, commercial CDD Vault (to securely mine private with public data).  What's interesting is to see other software companies following, mimicking the strategy in bits and pieces, albeit while missing the whole value of embracing the entire ecosystem in an integrated platform for private, collaborative, and/or public data.

These examples include 200 drug-like and probe-like compounds to help in the fight against malaria announced by MMV and Scynexis:
