Recap of CDD User Group Meeting – Boston 2023

The Collaborative Drug Discovery community welcomed members and guests at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Cambridge, MA on October 4th, 2023. This year's event was marked by insightful presentations, sharing of best practices in data utilization, and discussions about how CDD is positively impacting research endeavors daily.

Here's a quick rundown of the enlightening talks we had:

Jarrod Medeiros from Casma Therapeutics, Inc. led the charge with his talk on "Using CDD to solve a DELemma", shedding light on practical applications of CDD in solving complex challenges.

Immanuel Utomo and Omar Tibi from Kymera Therapeutics captivated attendees with their discussion on "Enhancing Drug Discovery through Collaborative Drug Management and Integration", emphasizing the significance of collaboration in achieving breakthroughs.

Andrew Cook from Apellis Pharmaceuticals gave an expansive presentation titled "From small molecules to siRNAs and more", offering a comprehensive view on the evolving paradigms in drug discovery.

The duo, Alpha Lee and Matt Robinson from PostEra, enlightened us on "Opening the vault of machine learning in medicinal chemistry", underscoring the transformative power of AI in the realm of drug discovery.

Representing the heart and soul of CDD, Peter Gedeck, Kellan Gregory, and Charlie Weatherall provided invaluable insights into the vision, roadmap, and future undertakings of CDD.

Participants enjoyed a delightful lunch, followed by a Happy Hour and networking session, facilitating deeper connections and collaborative dialogues.
