Recorded Webinar: Effective Informatics for Drug Discovery 2020
Recorded live June 2, 2020
Informatics for Effective Drug Discovery was a virtual symposium co-hosted by Optibrium and CDD that brought together researchers at the forefront of drug discovery. Check out the following presentations by our guest speakers, and learn more about how cutting-edge technologies like StarDrop™ and CDD Vault can enhance your drug discovery workflow.
Jarrod Medeiros, Director of IT and Informatics at Casma Therapeutics, discussed the importance of deploying a collaborative informatics solution early for biotech companies, and adapting as the organization scales. He describes real-life examples of building an informatics infrastructure to manage data across multiple CRO partnerships:
E. Adam Kallel, Director of Computational Chemistry at Plexium, provided an overview of the company's novel DNA-encoded library screening technology which is being used to develop small molecule modulators of E3 ligases to uncover new therapeutic biology:
Director of IT and Informatics, Casma Therapeutics
Throughout Jarrod’s career, he has been immersed in research and development to identify process improvements that can be realized through better data management. Since leaving the lab he has been developing, selling, and implementing scientific software solutions to help make sense of data. Prior to working in informatics, Jarrod was a bench scientist with experience in bioprocess engineering, microbiology, and molecular biology.
E. Adam Kallel, Ph.D.
Director of Computational Chemistry, Plexium
Adam has been focused on effective development of drug therapies for women’s health, anti-infectives, metabolic diseases, neurological diseases, oncology and hematopoietic disorders. Adam has derived his energy by helping companies in various pharmaceutical organizations improve the efficiency and quality of drug discovery processes to improve the likelihood of new treatments succeeding in clinical trials.
