Press release

BURLINGAME, CA and VANCOUVER, BC (February 11, 2016) — Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD) today announced that The Centre for Drug Research and Development (CDRD) has chosen CDD Vault to replace their Drug Discovery Informatics Platform.

After in-depth evaluation of leading systems, CDRD decided on the CDD Vault platform. CDD Vault is a hosted database solution for secure management, analysis, and sharing of chemical and biological data. It allows scientists to intuitively organize chemical structures and biological study data, and collaborate with internal or external partners through an easy to use web interface. CDRD will use CDD Vault to store and easily access assay data, compound structures and physicochemical properties.

“Empowering our scientific staff to safely store and access data in real time increases productivity and efficiency,” says Dr. Jason Crawford, Vice President, Scientific Operations, CDRD. “CDD Vault’s robust and agile operating paradigm, technology performance and ease of use is important to us and provides value for our projects.”

"CDRD chose CDD Vault because of its performance, ease of use, and CDD’s customer support, which resulted in a straightforward migration of our large amount of data. This helped us to stay on time and within budget,” says Dr. Markus Heller, Senior Scientist, CDRD.

“We are delighted to welcome CDRD to our growing global community of happy CDD Vault customers. CDD Vault is a hosted drug discovery informatics platform that enables scientists to focus on what they do best – science. Efficiency in modern drug discovery is a function of how well diverse domain experts can easily work together. CDD Vault is particularly strong for project teams working across disciplines,” says Dr. Barry Bunin, CEO at CDD. “CDD Vault is different from traditional offerings in terms of the speed to get a research team up and running with managing their data and the synergies enabled by facile, broad adoption – even by non-informatics experts. This is unique in that other systems often require whole departments to implement, train and keep users engaged.
