You can now indicate that a readout definition is a protocol condition. Designating a readout definition as condition may not appear to be an exciting feature, but this release could revolutionize how you manage and process your assay results.
Imagine that you run the same assay with five different species, and you want to see an average value for each molecule. Previously, CDD Vault would combine results from all species when calculating an average, which was not usually intended. To obtain the correct average you had to create a separate protocol for each species, which made searching more cumbersome.
Now you can define “species” as a condition, store all your data in one convenient protocol, and CDD Vault will keep data separated by condition when calculating averages, dose-response curves, and even custom calculations.
When a protocol readout definition is flagged as a condition, it's values are used to categorize related results within the protocol. Protocol conditions are useful any time experimental parameters, such as cell line, expression type, species, or target are varied in a single protocol.
