CDD Vault Update (March 2024 #2): Plate Block Parsing Enhancements and Multi-select Searching

Parser Supports Multiple Plates in a Single Import File

The new  CDD data parser now handles multiple plates in the same import. You can select a single plate block and assign a fixed value like the name of the plate. Multiple plates can be selected in the same sheet or separate sheets of the file. Be sure to use a consistent ‘field name’ for the associated fixed value (e.g. ‘Plate’) to add the values to the same upload column.

It’s important to set the Join Field to include both the Plate and Well Location (as an example) so the system separates the plates into their own rows.

Parse Subsections of Plate Block Data Separately

Another enhancement to the data parser is the ability to assign sections of a plate to a fixed value (e.g. ‘Compound Name’ or ‘Concentration’). Once your entire plate block is selected, select a subset of the plate, and click the link to ‘shrink active area’. This can be repeated for multiple subsets of a plate by creating a new Plate Block assignment and repeating the steps above.

Searching for data with multiple conditions has just become easier! When searching in a protocol with conditions, users can select multiple values from the drop down list simply by clicking each condition. (Previously, a user would need to “add a term”, select the protocol, and select the next condition). This feature is also available for any readout definition defined as a pick list.
