On January 15, 2026, CDD, the Munich Lab Automation Community (MLabAC) and Life Science Factory came together for a special edition meetup, combining, for the first time, the three vibrant communities at the Helmholtz Pioneer Campus.
With strong, overlapping interests across life sciences, lab automation, and scientific entrepreneurship, the event was designed to introduce these groups, spark meaningful connections, and encourage open dialogue around shared challenges and opportunities.
The evening kicked off with a series of short talks (50 minutes total), highlighting the growing importance of digital tools in early discovery. CDD Vault was featured as a key enabler of modern, data-centric research, helping scientists manage complex data, implement automated workflows, and lay the groundwork for future AI-powered capabilities.
Following the talks, attendees gathered for a buffet dinner and engaged in networking in a familiar, welcoming, and collaborative environment. With 156 attendees, participation was strong, engagement was high, and conversations flowed well beyond the formal agenda, reinforcing the value of bringing these communities together.
CDD looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing to strengthen its presence within the local innovation ecosystem through future events and collaborations.
