    September Q3 2025 - Product Update Webinar

In our most recent Q3 2025 Product Update webinar, the CDD Vault team introduced two major areas of enhancement: expanded biologics and bioconjugate registration capabilities and new workflow features in the Chemistry ELN. These updates were designed in response to feedback from scientists working with complex macromolecules and integrated experimental data capture.

In case you missed the live session, below is a recap of the major updates and demonstrations.

Biologics & Bioconjugate Registration in CDD Vault

Biologics and conjugates are becoming central in discovery pipelines. To support these workflows, CDD Vault now offers an enhanced macromolecule editor and updated registration options for cyclic peptides, antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

    Key capabilities:

    • Macromolecule Editor: Build RNA, DNA, peptide, and hybrid sequences directly on canvas, or import via FASTA, HELM, IDT, or MOL formats.

    • Chemically Aware Registration: Maintain stereochemistry, bond formations, and property calculations (e.g., melting point) for both natural and unnatural bases.

    • Custom Modifications: Use the RNA Builder and chemical modification tabs to create hybrid sequences and add custom bases or linkers.

    • Cyclic Peptides: Register directly from Excel with full control over orientation (clockwise/anticlockwise, start position).

    • Antibody Registration: Import heavy/light chains or H1/L1/H2/L2 configurations, annotate disulfide bonds, and include custom bases via SD files.

    • ADC Support: Map drug payloads (up to four unique attachments per antibody) with defined equivalents, all within the same registration interface as small molecules.

These updates unify data capture across biologics and small molecules, reducing friction and improving traceability across hybrid projects.

    New Chemistry ELN Workflow Enhancements

The Chemistry ELN now provides improved tools for managing experiments, linking inventory, and collaborating across teams.

    Key capabilities:

    • Template Management: Create and publish standardized ELN templates to streamline repeatable workflows.

    • User Mentions: Tag colleagues with the @ symbol in ELN entries for review, approval, or safety checks.

    • Reaction Copying: Duplicate stoichiometry tables to avoid manual re-entry when running variations of the same reaction.

    • Inventory Integration: Link ELN reagents directly to inventory samples, debit usage amounts automatically, and manage bulk inventory events.

    • Parallel Synthesis: Register variable reagent-product pairs from Excel or manually, with automatic structure population and calculated yields.

These enhancements are designed to accelerate data entry, reduce duplication, and maintain cleaner records across lab projects.
